Samba de Amigo Downloadable Songs Confirmed

Today at E3 SEGA announced that Samba de Amigo for the Wii will feature downloadable songs presumably through the Wii Shop Channel. The game will have song packs instead of individual songs, and pricing has yet to be announced. The first song pack will be available to download at the games launch on September 23rd:

Song Pack 1 - 09/23/2008

I Want Candy - Bow Wow Wow
Are You Going To Be My Girl? - Jet
Mambo Mambo - Lou Bega

I was hoping this was true when we saw the Pay to Play logo on the boxart several months ago. When I was on Nintendo's E3 Press site I downloaded the kit for Samba and the boxart still had the Pay to Play logo on it, making me jump for joy! I am definitely picking up this game day one, I just love music games!!! I don't love Guitar Hero though, it gets annoying after a while and kind of tiring on the hands. At least with Samba I can have a lot of freedom and kind of dance to the music instead of looking constipated while playing Guitar Hero. Here's hoping that Samba is awesome, I never got to play the original but I am really looking forward to this game. I am so glad it was brought to the Wii!
