Pics of Metallic Silver DS Lite

More pictures of the new color can be found here. It almost makes me want to go buy a new DS Lite, especially this silver one since my original DS is silver. Oh well. We now have...White, Black, Pink, Crimson/Black, Cobalt/Black, Metallic Rose, Dialga & Palkia, and Metallic Silver. Nintendo making another DS Lite is very unlikely at this point.

Metallic Silver DS Lite hits shelves September 7th

In an expected move, Nintendo will now be releasing the Metallic Silver DS Lite in the US on September 7th. The color has been rumored to be coming out soon, and we have just received confirmation from a leaked Best Buy ad.

The system was first released as a two-tone color with black, and branded with Guitar Hero logo in the Guitar Hero game bundle for the DS. Another reason for people to pick up a DS Lite if you don't already have one is in tune with this. Now all we need is for the special edition systems from Japan to be released in the US at normal retail price. (My Dialga & Palkia DS Lite was $330 in a bundle pak from Pokémon.com, and Nintendo just released it in the US for the regular DS price point of $129.99, making me sad & mad)

I still wish we got the Enamel Navy DS Lite, and we are still waiting for the Ice Blue. There is always a chance the Red and Green DS Lite's from Europe will be released in the US in the future, so be on the lookout for more news!

Wii-kly Update 08/25/2008

WiiWare

Helix? (Ghostfire Games, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone, 1,000 Wii Points): Helix is one of the most innovative music-rhythm games ever designed for the Wii console. Use the Wii Remote? controller to do dozens of exciting moves, including punches, circles, back fists, hooks and more. Be mesmerized by the eye-popping background visuals, which pulse to the beat of the music. Enjoy incredible replay value with 26 songs to play and three difficulty levels. Try to unlock all of the songs. This game is great for getting exercise plus having fun. No buttons are required, so it's easy for anyone to pick up but difficult for even the best players to master.

Virtual Console

Ys Book I & II (TurboGrafx16 CD-ROM, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone-Mild Fantasy Violence, 800 Wii Points): Ys Book I & II chronicles the first adventures of Adol Christin, a young, red-haired swordsman on a quest to unlock the secrets of an ancient kingdom. As Adol, you search the island of Esteria, gathering clues to unravel the mystery of Ys. Fight monsters that lurk in caves and towers with physical or magical attacks, and use your brain to make your way through dangerous areas filled with traps. In Ys Book I & II, the first titles in the Ys series were put together as a single TurboGrafx CD-ROM. They awed players with their gripping story lines accompanied by fully orchestrated soundtracks, wonderful voice acting and amazing special effects. Don't miss out on your chance to experience this wonderful piece of gaming history.

SAMURAI SHODOWN 2 (NEOGEO, 1-2 players, Rated T for Teen-Blood, Language, Tobacco Reference, Violence, 900 Wii Points): First released in 1994, this fighting game follows 15 samurai in their individual quests. The rage system, which was popular in the first game, has been further enhanced. Not only does attack power rise when the gauge is full, but the player can also use a special technique that can break the opponent's weapon and force the opponent to fight unarmed. The game also allows for more movement techniques such as back-stepping, rushing forward and ducking, allowing for even more strategies. A fun and important detail of this game: One of the new characters, Cham Cham, was voiced by voice actress Reiko Chiba, an idol in the gaming community.

Slide Adventure Mag Kid in the house!

Yay, my package from Play-Asia finally arrived in the mail today. I chose the cheapest shipping, and it took forever. I ordered it on August 6th, it shipped on the 7th, and just now got here. I actually wonder if the Olympics were the cause of this. Anyway, I also got Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Super Music Collection (the soundtrack for the games)

I'll have impressions of the videogame and a review coming in the next couple of weeks for it. I may also try to shoot footage of the game, but all I have is a digital camera and the video isn't that good. I am so happy my package finally came!

Dead Rising Wii Debut Trailer

I love games where I kill Zombies, they are just good old fashioned fun! This game looks so amazing, I am glad it is coming to the Wii. Can't wait until it is released. Sure it may be a "port" but right now I actually love these "ports" coming to the Wii.

MadWorld New Trailer

This game looks so awesome, I will definitely be picking this game up for sure. Too bad that we have to wait until next year, but there are tons of other games coming out this year still, so no worries. I can't wait for it to be released!

Kororinpa 2 Debut Trailer

It was only a matter of time that the game would be coming out, especially since it minimally uses the Wii Balance Board from Wii Fit. (Think of the Marble game in Wii Fit.) I never picked up the first Kororinpa but I will probably pick this one up because of how much fun I had with the Marble game in Wii Fit. Look for the game to be out next year!

Hard Working People Trailer

Konami takes Cooking Mama further with their new game called Hard Working People. A game where you take on tons of different professions via minigames in order to save the Earth from an incoming meteor set to destroy it. The game will be released exclusively for the Wii in Quarter 1 of 2009 (January-March) Check out the debut trailer below:

I think the game will be really fun, I'll definitely have to pick this game up once it is released stateside!

Elebits: The Adventures of Kai & Zero Trailer

Finally, a video that shows us what the game is about. It actually looks kind of like an RPG Puzzle game, I am really interested in this game. I should really go back to the original and play through it. There is also supposedly another Elebits game coming to the Wii sometime, so be on the lookout for that. I can't wait, but I need to finish my other games.

Finished Pokemon MD Time!

So I finally did it. Today I kept going after Dialga and lost once. Then I went at it again and then Piplup started kicking Diaga's butt, and used Brine and knocked off 265 HP from Dialga! It was amazing, after all of this time Piplup stood up and started kicking ass =P

I am happy I finished this game ^_^ - now what to play next, I guess Megaman Star Force 2? =o

I'm back

Sorry about not updating, I just didn't know what to post about anymore. I've been working alot lately and have been so tired to update. However, I started playing Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Exploration of Time again recently and I'm basically stuck at the battle with Dialga. I keep losing because Piplup is too friggin weak!

My bank account is being sucked dry by my car. The headlight went out recently and that was $27 to replace, and then my starter went out in my car, and that was $158 to replace (my grandpa paid for it, thank you grandpa!!!) and back in beginning of July the catalytic converter on my car went out, that was $120, and me and my grandpa split the bill. I seriously need a credit card though for these expensive things, I just don't always want to spend a chunk of money all at once. I spent like $924+ last month alone. Luckily there are no games out this month that I want.

September will be full of games that I want. Samba de Amigo, Wario Land: Shake It, Kirby Superstar Ultra, and Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, plus other games!

Wii-kly Update 08/04/2008

WiiWare

Wild West Guns (Gameloft, 1-2 players, Rated T for Teen—Violence, 1,000 Wii Points): Draw your revolver to see if you're the fastest gun in the West. Adjust your speed and precision as targets or enemies appear in front of you. Point and shoot to earn more points. You can aim at anything, so be sure to explore the environment for elements that will earn you more shooting points. Identify your enemies among the characters you encounter, but don't shoot at innocent citizens. Take part in an Old West-style train attack, or challenge your skills in a variety of increasingly difficult shooting challenges in other beautiful, classic and lively Western environments. As you progress through challenges, you'll earn medals and rewards, making for nonstop, addictive action. Play in a two-player multiplayer mode where you and your partner can combine points, or play against each other to find out who's the fastest gun in the West.

Virtual Console

Sonic The Hedgehog™ (Sega Master System, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone, 500 Wii Points): Based on the original Sega Genesis version, Sonic The Hedgehog was re-created as the first Sonic game for the Sega Master System. Not just a straight port, this version includes new stages, bosses, some different zones and a level map. The most noticeable difference, however, is that the Chaos Emeralds have to be found within certain stages other than the Special Stages. Dash through six Zones (including special zones that were only available for the Sega Master System version) and face Dr. Eggman (a.k.a. Dr. Robotnik) at the end of every Zone.

SPLATTERHOUSE™ 2 (Sega Genesis, 1 player, Rated M for Mature—Blood and Gore, Violence, 800 Wii Points): SPLATTERHOUSE 2 is the sequel to SPLATTERHOUSE, released only on the Sega Genesis. A few months after escaping from the first mansion in SPLATTERHOUSE, the main character, Rick, once again encounters the Terror Mask and must use its powers to rescue his beloved Jennifer. Rick will need to punch, slash, smash and even chainsaw his way through a haunted mansion against unspeakable horrors and terrifying bosses to make it out alive.
