Well, as promised, I am going to be recording videos of my copy of Pokémon White during my playthrough and uploading them to YouTube. I'll be posting the videos here.

Happy times. I thought I was going to have the game already because I was already charged, but Play-Asia isn't shipping it out until Saturday. The earliest I could have it is Monday...but I'll be at work all day.

I'm sure yall will see coverage everywhere else, but I've always wanted to do something like this, but never had the right equipment. I recorded a video earlier this year with my iPhone of Pokémon SoulSilver's Arceus event, and it seemed to turn out okay.

Yay, it finally arrived. I own Trauma Center 1, 2, and New Blood, and I liked them despite the stupid alien viruses and the time limit. This game does it more like Phoenix Wright with more story involved with 6 different doctors. I heard the last Chapter of the game utilizes each characters talents. Gonna go play when I finish my dinner!

They finally arrived. Originally I bought Fragile on Ebay on March 31st, and it never came. I filed a claim and got my money back almost a month later. Anyway, I ordered it again (May 3rd) and this time it arrived. I bought Bayonetta from Kmart.com as they were having a sale on it for $29.99. Gonna try and play both tonight ^_^

Photo Dojo is free on DSiWare from May 10th until June 10th. After that it will cost 200 Nintendo DSi Points. Go get it!

Perler Bead Sprites

So, lately I've been making game sprites using perler beads (aka melty beads). You place them on a grid and run an iron over them until they melt together. It's pretty simple, but I spent like around $50 just buying the beads online (like $10 shipping ><). I didn't even buy any Red, Green, or Yellow colors so I can't make Pikachu or much.

I'm having a lot of fun making these. The concept may sound easy, but what takes the longest is putting them together on the boards. Someone at work wants to buy the Raccoon Mario one I made. I'm thinking about selling them on Ebay, but I need to get lots of beads and make a variety of sprites first.

Hi! Remember me?

Well, I haven't posted on this blog in a long while. Sorry I've been sort of busy with my life. Sold my car, got another one, and already damaged it too. I've only been playing Pokémon SoulSilver since the day of release. I got Red Steel 2 from a trading site called Goozex, just won a copy of Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon on Ebay, and bought Bayonetta from Kmart.com.

They are having a sale on certain 360/PS3 games Nier $44.99; Darksiders, Final Fantasy 13, Bayonetta, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Alien vs Predator, and Metro 2033 are all $29.99 each.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 also comes out on May 23rd. Amazon.com is doing a $20 credit deal on your next purchase when you preorder the game from them, so be sure to hop on that. If you buy Trauma Team before May 18th you'll receive a $10 credit from them as well.

3D Dot Game Heroes also releases in a few days, May 11th on the PS3. It's an RPG that is very nostalgic of classic NES/SNES and other games from that era. You can even design your own characters to look like Link!

Sin & Punishment: Star Successor was pushed back in the US until June 27th from June 7th, because of the delay of Metroid Other M which has been pushed back to August 31st. The game is still set for release in Europe in just 3 days, May 7th.

Next month is E3, so we'll get to see the Nintendo 3DS, Zelda Wii, Vitality Sensor, and hopefully Golden Sun DS. I hope we see localization news of Zangeki no Reginleiv, the Hotel Dusk sequel, Xenoblade (Monado got a name change), The Last Story, Pokémon Ranger 3 and finally PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure.

Jam With The Band is finally being released after 5 years of being cancelled in the past, but only announced in Europe. Picross 3D came out today for the DS in the US.

XSEED Games is bringing over Prope's next game Ivy the Kiwi to the US for DS & Wii this Summer. It turns out hackers already discovered the game has an English version built in, but of course they had to hack to bring it out. Maybe that's why the turn around is so quick?

Also, Arc Rise Fantasia is being released on June 22nd in the US and Ignition is doing a terrible job on localization with the horrendous voice acting. I've heard this isn't the first time they've messed up.

So yeah that's all I can think of to report for news and my ranting and stuff. I also really love the iPhone, I bought a Pokédex app for it called AAAA Pokédex, yall should get it too!

After a month of not buying any video games, I finally decided to splurge. Had to get them at GameStop though, they don't carry either of them at my local Best Buy apparently. (That just ticks me off!)

So far I played a bit of Endless Ocean 2 and it's alright. I just have to remember it's supposed to be a relaxing game. I went on WiFi with my good friend Kolma and just screwed around a bit. We could barely hear eachother on Wii Speak though...which is a bit disappointing.

Trauma Team Walkthrough: Orthopedics

Atlus released their trailer for the Othopedics part of Trauma Team for the Wii. The game has been delayed from April 20th to May 18th. I have a feeling this is because Atlus wants the game to be successful and not get overlooked by the flood of games being released in March. Anyway, check out the trailer below:

Nintendo opens Teaser sites for Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Metroid Other M

Today Nintendo opened 3 teaser websites for the games Xenoblade, The Last Story, and METROID Other M.

Xenoblade is the new name for the Monolithsoft RPG that Nintendo revealed at E3 last year originally called Monado: Beginning of the World.

The Last Story is an RPG for the Wii that Mistwalker (the developers behind the Japan-only A.S.H.) has been working on for a while now. A trademark for the game was filed a few months ago.

METROID Other M according to Nintendo is set to release this Summer in Japan. There is still no North American, European, or Australian release set, but are due for this year.

Nintendo's 1st party lineup was revealed, and you can see it here.

Last Window: Midnight Promise & Zangeki no Reginleiv have not appeared on the release list outside of Japan, as well as Chibi Robo 2 for the DS. However, since it is only the beginning of the year this list will change throughout.

Hoshi no Kirby (Wii) and Famicom Wars DS 2 once again appear on the Japanese release list, but still the former has not been revealed. Famicom Wars DS 2 came to the US as Advance Wars: Days of Ruin/Dark Conflict(EUR). I think it's safe to say it isn't going to be released in Japan.

One of the top contenders for Wii 3rd Party Game of the Year has just now been released on the Wii. The sequel to the hit No More Heroes is now on store shelves. Tatsunoko VS Capcom is out now too, and has new characters & online play! Be sure to pick that up as well. I'm gonna buy it this Saturday.

Well, I finally got Sands of Destruction in the mail from Amazon. It took a while because I chose free shipping, and I also got the game for $23.99 because I had a $10 off coupon ^_^

This game is really cool, yall should definitely give it a try if you are into old-school style RPGs. I definitely haven't had much fun with an RPG other than Pokémon & Golden Sun in many many years. Definitely check this one out guys!

Tatsunoko VS Capcom Trading Cards

While I was reading my latest issue of Nintendo Power (Feb 2010), I ended up finding a cool lenticular trading card for Tatsunoko VS Capcom for the Wii. It turns out, if you preorder the game at GameStop they will give you a 8-card pack of the cards. Here is the Chun-Li/Jun the Swan card:

I already imported the original Tatsunoko VS Capcom game in December 2008 when it came out in Japan. The new game isn't simply a localization, but a brand new version of the original, that also includes online play and some new characters. Essentially it's like how Capcom released newer versions of Street Fighter games.

I really do wish I could get a pack of cards but the game isn't a priority to me right now as I want No More Heroes 2 and also got a speeding ticket.

I got Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles

Well, today my copy of Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles finally arrived in the mail. Stupid mail ended up damaging the case partially, as if the package had been squashed in a mail sorting machine. USPS sucks!

Anyway, I've basically been playing it almost all day. I managed to finish the Resident Evil 2 portion of the game that has Claire Redfield & Leon Kennedy in it. It was really cool but still really tough even on normal mode. I died over ten times. At least I didn't chicken out for the Easy mode on the first playthrough of the game.

Definitely a game that you should be getting for Christmas, or soon after. And if you already have it, good job!

I got Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse

I finally received my copy of Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen, aka Fatal Frame 4: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse for the Wii. It shipped from Play-Asia on Nov. 27th, and it just arrived today...almost a whole month later! I was really angry that it took so long to arrive, but I guess I can let Play-Asia slide this time.

After all last year I ordered a game and it shipped on Dec. 12th, and it still arrived just before Christmas. The economy has grown very crummy and airmail shipments are significantly impacted with delays as there are fewer flights.

Anyway I played what I guess was the intro chapter (and I don't even know Japanese). I managed to use the camera obscura on the first ghost! I can't wait for the translation patch to be out so I can fully enjoy the game!

WarioWare D.I.Y. due out March 28th and Blue & Pink Wii Remotes

Well, Nintendo released their Quarter 1 list today, and it's lacking Sin & Punishment 2. Anyway, WarioWare DIY made a surprise appearance for a release on March 28th.

Nintendo also announced that two more colors of Wii Remotes that were recently released in Japan, will be heading to US stores on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14th). It will be bundled with a WiiMotionPlus accessory like the Black Wii Remote before it.

Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver due out March 14th

If so, that is basically like a year after Platinum was released in the US. South Korea are getting the games as early as February 4th. So not fair!!! March is going to be a packed month of gaming...

Glory of Heracles coming to US on Jan 18th!

The wonder of ancient Greece comes to life on Jan. 18, when Glory of Heracles™ launches exclusively for the portable Nintendo DS™ and Nintendo DSi™ systems. The game marks the first in the popular Japanese Heracles series to launch in the United States.

The game is inspired by Greek mythology and written by Kazushige Nojima of Final Fantasy fame. The traditional role-playing game features an engrossing story and a robust battle system. Players can roam the countryside as they encounter new characters and gain experience, or they can visit familiar ancient settings like Athens and Sparta.

Although the plot is fictional, many of the people and places in the game are based on familiar Greek mythology. DSi XL Coming to Japan this year, NA & Europe 2010

In Japan, Nintendo announced that another model of the DSi was being released there. The system is much bigger than the DSi, having 4 inch screens, and the size of the system has also gotten bigger, thus losing it's portability. Satoru Iwata says that this was made to combat the barrier that old people have against the DS with it's small screens.

I got the game yesterday afternoon thanks to my brother. He decided to buy me one last PS3 game that we could play together. I never thought I would own a Dynasty Warriors or Gundam videogame, now I own 2 in 1, lol. We played the first mission together, and it totally wasn't what I was expecting. I don't know if I should continue playing or wait until he comes home for Thanksgiving so we can play it together. Definitely a good game though!

Yeah, my brother came home on September 23rd (he's in the Air Force), so I've just been spending time with him. We actually didn't play that many games together sadly, and now he'll be leaving this Wednesday. I went out of town over the weekend to visit my grandma in Austin.

I did surprisingly play Donkey Kong: Jungle Climber for the DS. I forgot how damn hard that game can be sometimes. I was dying so much I got fed up with it. Then I started the Battle Frontier in Platinum and that was giving me trouble. I swear I think DS games are harder than Wii games, lol.

So my brother came home for leave after being stuck in Florida since this past January. He usually comes home in July but he had a lot of work to do. Anyway, he took me shopping for my late late birthday gifts, and I picked Street Fighter IV & LittleBigPlanet for the PS3 Slim I bought myself at launch.

Anyway, I'm just gonna say it. I must've lost my touch when it comes to standard games. I truly suck at Street Fighter IV, and the pushing the analog stick or using the direction buttons doesn't really work too well for me. I really need to get an arcade stick or something. If other fighters are this complicated with a PS3 controller, then I should just avoid fighters now shouldn't I?

LittleBigPlanet as you know is like a Platformer/Puzzle, and I really tend to enjoy those kinds of games. Does this make me a casual gamer? A term that seems to be associated with negativity from the so-called hardcore gamer. Anyways, I am really enjoying it and will definitely have to complete it. I know it has some DLC within it, but is there more purchasable levels or anything like that?

I have talked to the maker of this game Jeremiah Slaczka many times, and he seems to be a really cool guy. I even had a custom scribblenauts avatar made by someone on NeoGAF. Now I finally bought the game!

Oh hell yes! This game is like one of the top 10 games for the Wii! Everyone go out there and buy it now...don't let it fall through the cracks. Make it known that this game is among the best out there!

I just finished Kisuke's Story...having played for 5 hours straight through. (Holy crap I haven't done that in a long time.) I beat Momohime's Story the other night. As I said, if you are looking for a great Wii game, definitely pick this one up!

So today, I decided to go pick up Muramasa: The Demon Blade for Wii. Originally, XSEED Games was going to be publishing the title, but Ignition Entertainment aquired it from Marvelous instead. The original release of the game was planned for July, but was pushed back to September instead, but that's okay with me!

I just love the art style. I decided to start playing as Momohime first, later on I'll play as Kisuke. It's gonna take me a while to learn this game, such as all the different combos you can perform, as well as the special move each blade you aquire can perform. I'm really enjoying it though, I just wish it wasn't out at the same time as I got my PS3, because I'll be torn between it and the Wii.

If you are one of the people out there who are claiming there are no games geared toward gamers on the Wii, then you should pick this game up! It's such a beautiful game and it's a hack n slash with tons of different kinds of swords.

I also picked up from Best Buy, the Studio Ghibli films Pom Poko (which I just watched) and Porco Rosso. I absolutely love Ghibli films, not only for their art style and presentation, but for the stories they revolve around. Can't wait to pick up more films in the future!

Pokémon Rumble, the English release name for the game Melee! Pokémon Scramble that was released in Japan, will be headed to the WiiWare in North America (and I assume other territories) soon.

In Pokémon Rumble, you play as a Pokémon and attack many other Pokémon in one huge Melee...I mean Rumble. See, it's kinda like Smash Brothers, and kind of like street gangs having a rumble.

I was really hoping this game would be coming soon and it finally is. More as it develops!

Sin & Punishment 2 hits Japan on October 29th

As revealed by Nintendo's own Japanese website, the long awaited Sin & Punishment 2 is finally being released somewhere...in Japan on October 29th. The game has a subtitle 罪と罰　宇宙の後継者［そらのこうけいしゃ| Sora no Kōkeisha). Various sources are saying that it means Successor of the Sky, but there is no way to confirm that at this time.

Nintendo of America stated recently that Sin & Punishment 2 would be released in North America in Quarter 1 of 2010. With a Japanese release around the corner, I hope we get a release date soon! It would be nice if we had it in time for Christmas, but like Endless Ocean 2, probably not until January 2010 :(

A couple of weeks ago, it was discovered that Capcom filed a trademark in Japan for something called Okamiden. Speculation soon began, and now we have this image from Famitsu that looks pretty real. It looks like a DS sequel to Okami, but we don't know anything yet.

I really need to go play through the first game on Wii which I've owned for over a year now. Anyways, I'm excited for this. DS is still going strong apparently almost 5 years later! ^_^

New DSi Colors for North America on Sep. 13

Well, according to a NeoGAF thread, a person who works for Play N Trade received an email at his store about two new DSi colors being released on September 13th. The colors that they are planning to release are the White and Pink variations. Whether the Pink one is the same as the hot pink DSi released in Japan on March 20th of this year, is not yet known.

I honestly don't consider such information as a rumor. Just the other day I said in the GoNintendo IRC that Nintendo will release the White & Pink DSi's next...I guess to help pull in the female demographic even more, even though most don't like Pink anyway. Honestly if I remember correctly, I believe Nintendo released the Black & Pink DS Lite's back in September 2006/2007...which is where I'm getting this trend from.

Well, rumors have been going around for months after a retail box for the PS3 Slim was leaked a few months ago. Now it is confirmed, at the 2009 Gamescom conference in Europe, Sony used the conference to announce the PS3 Slim, which will cost $299 USD around the world. The same price for the whole world is really unexpected :O.

Anyway, I was waiting for the Slim and a price drop, and now that there are some, I placed my order on Amazon. I was actually gonna buy a Blu Ray player from Walmart for $128, but I am so glad I waited!

I got Fossil Fighters

I decided to go out and buy Fossil Fighters for the DS today. I played the demo a week or so ago that allowed you to clean a fossil. It didn't let you experience a battle but it's actually pretty simple. This is another game that Nintendo has decided to bring over from Japan to the US after Starfy made his US debut a few months ago. I hope it is successful for them!

“Right now, we’re trying to get funding and trying to find new partners meaning that Little King’s Story wasn’t developed by one development company, it was developed by different people.” Cing, the studio behind Hotel Dusk, Town Factory, and Marvelous collaborated to make Little King’s Story.

Pokemon.com has announced beginning of August 3rd, you will be able to download the Member Card to your Pokémon Platinum game cartridge via the WiFi Mystery Gift option. The item you download will allow you access to New Moon Island, which you can get to by talking to the sailor in Canalave City. There, you can battle a Level 50 Darkrai and capture it, so be sure to save before you battle it.

Just got home from Best Buy, picked up the sequel to that game that practically sold the Wii on it's own, Wii Sports Resort! My family really likes this, and it is practically the only game that accurately uses motion controls besides the original Wii Sports. I'm really looking forward to the 1 to 1 control for Bowling, after all that's my favorite game from the original (besides Tennis). Atleast there is Table Tennis though! ^_^

This is the first Wii game that XSEED Games has released in the US. I was really excited about this title, and read more about it in Nintendo Power a few months ago. I guess the game is kinda like a god game, but there are bosses and you conquer other kingdoms. Best Buy doesn't even have a listing for the game, so I went to GameStop and they had it as usual. (Don't worry, it wasn't an opened copy.)

The game has a slim chance of being released in the US, but I kinda wanted it now. I won't get mad if it comes out here later on, but Disaster never came here and I imported that so.

As you can see, the Club Nintendo special reward for Platinum & Gold members is now available. You have the choice of a downloadable Punch-Out game from WiiWare to challenge your trainer Doc Luis, or a Mario hat replica for Platinum members. The Gold reward is some calendars, which is what Japanese gold members get as well.

I ordered the Mario Hat, as I already own the main Punch-Out game and don't care to get what is necessarily a demo that I will play once or twice. Mario Hat looks awesome and I don't really have any gaming memorabilia!

Well today, I received Game & Watch Collection for the DS from Club Nintendo rewards! Now I have played some of the Game & Watch games on the Gallery games for the Game Boy Advance in the past, but now I actually have a reason to play it on the DS.

Also, for those of you who don't know, the Club Nintendo year has ended. You can start registering games, as well as take surveys again in order to up your rank to Gold or Platinum. The free gift for reaching Gold or Platinum rank will be revealed at the end of July, and will ship out sometime this fall.

Well, I recently received a $10 off gift certificate for Best Buy from the Rewards Zone Gamers Club! I buy a lot of games so that's why I got one so fast!

Anyway, Marble Saga Kororinpa is a game that I always wanted to play. While I never got to play the original, the sequel was cheap enough and I had the gift card, so that urged me to buy it.

Australian Government to use Web Filters to Censor Games

The Federal Government has now set its sights on gamers, promising to use its internet censorship regime to block websites hosting and selling video games that are not suitable for 15 year olds.

Australia is the only developed country without an R18+ classification for games, meaning any titles that do not meet the MA15+ standard - such as those with excessive violence or sexual content - are simply banned from sale by the Classification Board, unless they are modified to remove the offending content.

That is pretty messed up. The Australian government is basically going to block any videogames that do not receive a rating because they do not conform to the Mature 15 and Older rating in Australia. They will use it to block any site that sales import games higher than the 15 rating, as well as flash based games that do not get rated among other things. I really feel sorry for our Australian gamer friends!

Capcom announces Rockman EXE Operate Shooting Star

Today, at the World Hobby Fair, Capcom officially announced "Rockman EXE Operate Shooting Star" for the Nintendo DS. The title is said to release in 2009.

Yes, it is a crossover game for the DS featuring the Action RPG series Battle Network and Star Force. I really enjoy both series but I never finished the 2nd Star Force game, and want to do so before I buy Star Force 3 Black Ace or Red Joker...

More information on the title will be revealed in the September issue of Coro Coro Comics which will be released in August in Japan.

My dog Harley is Sick

Hey yall, sorry I haven't updated in a couple of days.

On Monday Harley started having some kind of cough. On Wednesday at 2:30 AM Harley collapsed and had a seizure after climbing the stairs.

We took him to the vet and they said it was his heart. They referred us to a cardiologist for dogs at an expensive medical center.

They did an ultrasound of the heart, x-rays, as well as blood work. It turns out that Harley has the following problems.

Dilated cardiomyopathy (heart disease)
Arrythmia (heart murmur which caused the seizure)
some Lung Disease (possibly caused by his past from the heartworms he had 2 years ago)
Coughing (most likely kennel cough)
Shortness of breath

All they could do was give us several kinds of medicines, including an expensive one that we had to buy online from Canada. Basically, if Harley has a seizure, it could often times be fatal, so we can't exercise him too much like throwing around the ball, but they said we can take him for short walks.

I am very afraid what might happen. I know Harley is 9 1/2 years old, and that is the average lifetime for a dog of his breed and size. But, I think Harley still has a few more years to go, which is why I decided I needed to save him again. Harley is my best friend and I don't know what I'm going to do when I lose him, I just hope that isn't for a long long long time.

Please, if you can find it in your hearts to pray for him to be well, I would really truely appreciate it.

The Wii MotionPlus accessory is now out in stores, bundled with such games as Tiger Woods PGA Tour. Virtua Tennis 2009 from SEGA and Grand Slam Tennis from EA also use the accessory.

The Wii MotionPlus peripheral is also available on it's own for $19.99, same as the Nunchuk and Classic Controller accessories. Wii MotionPlus will also be bundled with Wii Sports Resort when it hits store shelves on July 26th.

I myself won't be picking it up until Wii Sports Resort is out.

I got The Legendary Starfy

I got The Legendary Starfy today! First I called up Best Buy to see if they had it in stock; they said they had 8 copies. So I went there, and it's no where to be found. I ask an employee and they said it would be out tomorrow. Obviously it was sitting in the back room and the employees were just too lazy to dig out a copy...

Then later on I went to Target, it wasn't on the shelf either. Their ad says it was in stores today. The employee spent time looking for it in the display cases, couldn't find it. So he went back to his computer and looked it up, found it was in a storage room. Then he went and got me a copy. I wish I would get this quality treatment at a store that primarily sells Electronics!
